How to Update Google My Business Hours for Covid-19: 3 Options: Are you feeling stuck flat-footed with your business after Covid-19?
One of the biggest struggles that many businesses are facing throughout the Covid-19 pandemic is keeping their customers updated with business operations and hours.

How to Update Google My Business Hours for Covid-19: 3 Options:

Businesses that have been able to keep their customers in the loop are often seeing the majority of the market share in their local area.
If you are struggling to update your business hours to account for the ongoing changes,
we want to pass along some instructions on how to change and update your hours on the google my business page:

Temporarily Closed

If you’d like to mark your business as temporarily close you can contact Google my business support.
This is Google’s preferred method for marking a business closed temporarily when it is unable to open.
Because of the influx of requests that Google is getting, it may take a while for you to contact support and then make the change back to open status when your business is able to resume operations.
Temporarily closed listings are also not showing up on the map and within the local finder and this can harm your search engine rankings if your competition or other businesses within your niche are remaining open.

Permanently Closed Business

You can also list your business as permanently closed and this is an easy way that you can quickly set your status to close as well as mark your location for reopening.
Your business will still appear in search engine rankings but you won’t be able to receive any new reviews for your business.

Setting Holiday Hours

Your Google my business page will let you set up holiday hours and special hours.
You can set up two weeks’ worth of holiday hours and create an alert to reset your page to holiday hours when it is required again.
This is one of the easiest ways that you can adjust your hours if your business is going to remain open or if you foresee only being closed for a few weeks.

Consider each of these update options if you would like to manage your business page and hours for Covid-19.
